We said good-bye to one of our ferret friends this morning. She’s been with us since she was a baby, from before we had human babies. We miss her. But she had a wonderful life full of TLC and lots of hugs and playing, and now we have wonderful memories.
As we were burying her in the backyard, I notices signs of Spring popping up here and there…
…some budding daffodils…
…and some blooming Andromeda…
The Circle of Life just keeps turning.
Liesl, so sorry to hear of the loss of one of your furry babies. (hugs)
I am so sorry for your loss. Big hugs.
Oh, Liesl, I’m so sorry! Hugs here, too.
I’m so sorry that she’s gone, but I’m glad she had such a happy life with you guys.
loads of love.

but the sun is still hot and gorgeous.
i hope we can BOTH get sunshine at the same time lol X
Aww, I’m so sorry. ((HUGS))
So sorry for your family!
Oh, I’m so sorry. We just lost our kitty and I know how sad it is.
I’m so very sorry, Liesl. Take care.

The Circle of Life just keeps turning.
i’ve been thinking about this too.
seasons coming and going, faster and faster, kids growing, faster and faster….
*blink*

Thank you, everyone, for your sympathy. One of the things I value most about friends, either in real life or through the screen, is support and empathy we give each other during life’s inevitable rocky roads. I’m glad to know all of you and to be able to call you friends.
Kate - What you said is what made me think of the Circle of Life…I thought the first year with Liam went speeding by, but I was wrong. Kiri will be one year old on Easter Sunday, and I swear he’s only been here a couple of months, maybe four or five at most. It’s realizations like this that make me try to focus on the good things in life and enjoy them as they happen. Every event becomes a memory sooner than I expect it to.
