A lot of events have occurred here at the Menagerie House in the last 24 hours. Care to guess which of the following did not happen?
1. Liam tested the fractile strength of sidewalk concrete. That experiment was brought to a premature conclusion by a trip the ER for X-rays on both knees. Yes, both.
2. I got completely caught up the on the 16 blog posts I have in drafts!
3. Pippi isn’t eating and seems to have blood in his stool. We have a vet appointment in two hours.
4. Kiri is experiencing his first stomach bug. He puked three times between his high chair and the bathroom. Laundry is in being washed, and a bath is next on the agenda.
I bet all my readers of the Mommy variety can spot the false claim in a snap.
Hmm, hard one ;-). Hope everyone is doing OK now, poor Liesl! Poor Liam! Poor Kiri! Poor Pippi!

Ha ha, very funny — the false claim, that is. So sorry to hear about your troubles! You didn’t tell us the outcome of the X-rays. Is he ok?
Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. Julie-I realized I hadn’t mentioned the knee outcome and probably had some concerned readers (I just got off the phone with Gran-Gran). As it turns out he took a hard fall on on the sidewalk and bruised/scraped - up both knees. He’s down to some impressive concrete burn and general soreness now, so we are thankful that all turned out OK there. Now his only problem is that he started throwing up in the middle of the night. Ay yi yi!
Pippi was pretty dehydrated when Kevin got him to the vet last night, so they kept him overnight for IV fluids. I have a call into them now for a progress update; I’m hoping we can get a diagnosis and a treatment plan today. The poor guy was really miserable last night and I’m worried about him. I’ll keep y’all posted.
