We said good-bye to one of our ferret friends this morning. She’s been with us since she was a baby, from before we had human babies. We miss her. But she had a wonderful life full of TLC and lots of hugs and playing, and now we have wonderful memories.

The Seasons Meet

The leaves from our redbud trees have started to turn yellow and fall to the ground. I found this one atop summer’s last crepe myrtle blooms. Soon all the blooms will be gone. The yard will go from summery pinks and purples to the oranges and reds of fall.
